“Forget Me Not Club has been transformational for my mum’s life. Mum has Alzheimer’s and lives alone with a lot of care and help, the club gives her a social life, a structure to her week and gives the rest of her care team respite. She constantly says how much she enjoys it, and in particular how kind and caring Ruth and Natasha are. 

In addition to the club itself, Ruth and Natasha have helped me find a suitable care agency to support mum after I was struggling to find one that was consistent and reliable. They have also helped organise my mums hair cuts, which I was struggling to schedule in. They assist mum to walk across to the hair salon, and retain autonomy and dignity in managing this aspect of her life - something that is so important as her abilities to do this diminish with her dementia. 

I notice a marked improvement in mum’s cognition in the time following her days at the club, demonstrating that the social interaction, activities and friendship are a huge benefit to her.
